Wow! 10 years!! Little did anyone know what was going to happen on that 
first "pizza and movies" event 10 years ago. But here we are!



This is also a very special year for me as well, this is my 5th anniversary 
as Director of MFM. So I'm going to be doing some celebrating of that and 
those that come to MFM get to benefit from that!  I was told by several 
years ago that it would be a cold day in hell if MFM survived and prospered. 
We have survived floods, hurricanes, lightning strikes, TSA invasions and 
many other trials and tribulations and you know what? We are still here and 
still having fun!



The MFM staff is working VERY VERY hard this year ensuring that everyone 
will have a good time and we will have some of the old favorites, along some 
lots of new things to look forward too!

Here are some highlights for this month's newsletter:





***Registration***

As we enter spring, registration for our end of summer party remains open. 
This year, we have 5 levels to choose from:

SUPPORTING:
(Include a tshirt and program mailed to you. Does NOT include a membership 
for you to attend the convention but does allow you to pay a reduced price 
of $20 at the door for a total admission of $35.)

ATTENDING:
(Includes a free tshirt and admission to the ice cream social)
       Now to July 31, 2006:  $35
       AT THE DOOR:  $40

SPONSORSHIP:
(Includes a limited edition print and a special special thank you gift)

SUPERSPONSORSHIP
(Includes everything above AND your print is framed, you get a cocktail 
party with the GOH AND a special Supersponsor shirt)

****DECADE LEVEL****
This is a special level for only this year to celebrate our 10th year. You 
get everything that the super sponsors do, plus a special catered meal with 
the GOH, a $100 donation to Tiger Haven in your name, and a special 
personalized letterman jacket. This level is prereg ONLY!
       $400 total due by Aug 1, 2006. Min $100 down.

***Gaming***

MFM Gaming looks forward to bringing you the best of the Board, Card, and 
Roleplay gaming universe at MFM X.  For the first time ever, we're going to 
bring you ten different panels on Roleplay Construction, Game Creation 
Ideas, Hobby Games, WarGames, and CCGs.  Whether you're a player, a 
designer, or somewhere in between, the Gaming Track at MFM will have enough 
to keep you interested and actively involved.   From the Tournaments, to the 
panels, to the collectible buttons.. MFM Gaming will step up to new heights 
to celebrate the tenth year of MFM.  See you there!



***Writing***

Currently planned for the Writing Track are:
-Writers' Meet & Greet (social)
-Wonderful Words - The Art of Alliteration (a talk)
-Iron Author, Acts I & II (two-part event; bad writing contest)

We've got people to run these events, but could use another event or two. 
One suggestion is a sort of "cafe," where people would read short pieces 
aloud and get comments on them. Another possibility is a heavy-duty workshop 
in which people would swap stories well before the con to engage in a 
critique session in person. If you or someone you know would be interested 
in running a writing event (these or another idea), please let me know.



***Spirituality***

TMF and I both want to make the Memory Book a successful tradition, and we 
want to keep it going this year. What we want to do is have the book and 
supplies at a set table and available to everyone to work on their own 
special pages for the book. We would love to have a few Furs volunteer to 
help us staff the table through the weekend.



To make this successful, we need everyone to show up with pictures, 
preferably 4 x 6, no larger than 5 x 7. and anything else they would like to 
include on their page interested it's not just for pets it's for anyone or 
anything you would like to include in the memory book. Do you have some 
scrapbooking supplies you love? Feel free to bring them along!

We have the other panels in progress for the Spirituality track, and we've 
got our books lined up for our research. It's time for us to do some serious 
reading and noting. After all, we have a reputation to maintain of having 
fun and unique panels!!



***Lan Gaming***
