For those of you that know Furp (he worked on security and first aid) he was killed in an accident last night.....here is what was posted

Last night, Patrick (Furp) was riding his motorcycle near the 29 Palms Marine Corps Base (California) where he works. He was struck by a drunk driver, and died. The driver, a Marine, is currently in custody.

Please keep he and his family in your thoughts

Nearest Info I have is that his remains will be returned to Wisconsin
sometime around Monday or Tuesday, according to the Deputy his mother spoke
with last night. Funeral Arrangements will be forthcoming.

This is why I have a never-ending HATRED for all drunk drivers!!!

They waste oxygen and they waste GOOD people. Furp was not only Good - he was 
AWESOME. I'm so upset to hear he went out like this.....  he was so helpful 
and a genuine asset to the Furry community. He will be sorely missed and 
mourned.

If anyone takes a lesson from this : NEVER operate a vehicle after 
drinking... I don't care if you think you're ok. Just don't. If your friend is buzzed or 
"just a little extra happy" after the party - don't let *them* drive. It's 
always worth cab fare - or even a fist fight and an angry friend - ro get 
yourself and others home safely.

This was a tremendous waste of a very fine human being. )=

Does anyone know of a charity or organization that Furries can donate to in 
Furp's name? I feel like we should do something to honor his memory.

Yeah, I knew Furp.  I liked him; hell -- it was hard NOT to.  This is very sad news indeed.
