'The dame sauntered into the office, the vixen was looking for something or for someone.. She just walked in past the girl I paid to keep people out of the office, but I didn't care.'  "You the P.I.?" she asked as if I couldn't be the dog she had been told about, then waited for an answer?  "Yes." I replied. "There's going to be a murder." she stated mater of factly.  'I couldn't believe she said that so flat, emotionless.' "When is this supposed to happen." I asked trying to get more information.  "Around Labor Day." the voice, low and enchanting, the old fan making noise from the ceiling as she looked my German Shep body dressed in short sleeve shirt, trousers, and a fedora  over.  A horn blew out on the street just as I was about to respond.  After the sound I added, "How do you know it will happen?"  She gave the only emotion I had seen on her, she smiled, "I saw it in a dream about a Masquerade."

  That's right folks.. Time to start thinking about the Masquerade at Mephit FurMeet.  Just because there's a theme, doesn't mean you have to have an act based on it.  Though with this years theme of the con, being a Murder Mystery, should give you a lot of thoughts for skits.  More information will of course be coming along.

The elderly Poodle stopped by the desk, "Could I have some tea sent up to my room?"  She then picked up a paper on her way up.    In the room, she starts reading over the news.  The eyes stop on one article.
"A murder is announced and will take place on Friday, <September 4>, at Little Paddocks, at 6:30 p.m. Friends accept this, the only intimation."

Time to start thinking about the Masquerade at Mephit FurMeet.  Just because there's a theme, doesn't mean you have to have an act based on it.  Though with this years theme of the con, being a Murder Mystery, should give you a lot of thoughts for skits.  More information will of course be coming along.

The morning sun was shinning in through the upper floor flat, where two furs were sitting.  The panther behind the desk was was reading the newspaper through his pince-nez glasses.  On the couch was a collie reading the sports as well as listening to the radio.  The panther looked over the edge of the paper, "Don't you get tired of the constant talking those guys do?"
The collie looked over, "They are explaining what all just took place, it's exciting."
"Hmph" The panther looked back at the paper.  A few moments later he spoke up, "Listen to this Hasting's.  There is to be a murder, performed and acted out in finite detail on September 4th.  All investigators are invited to try to solve it.  Join the chase in Memphis"  He looks up, "What about that?"
"Do you think it's true, Poirot, are you thinking there could be truth to it?" Hastings asked back.
"My grey cells are saying it's probably a publicity stunt, nothing would really come from it."  He leans back in the chair some.  "On the other hand, we don't have anything else going on, and a little vacation could be good, don't you think?"
